2014 Chestnut Q.H Stallion

Purchased as a weanling from Fleetwood Farms Quarter Horses, Texas is an outstanding example of what a Quarter Horse was bred to be; versatile, strong, balanced, smart and athletic.

With a pedigree like this, it’s no surprise that Texas possesses a natural ability to use his hind end and get underneath himself. Because of meticulous selection and management throughout his pedigree, Texas has the time-tested, tried and true genetic positives that we hope to use to strengthen some of the genetic weaknesses of today’s horses who have been bred too discipline specific, with the sacrifice of overall strength, hoof size and disposition.

Our goal is to offer the best of both worlds, old and new blood, to do what’s best for the breed and have horses that can do it all and look good doing it.

Texas is by CE Poco Cara Blanca, who is a grand son to Poco Bueno and has Wimpy P-1 on the face of his papers, and out of Sun N Roses, who is an own daughter of Mr. Sun O Lena, by Doc O’Lena.

Texas is full of potential that we hope to draw out and use in the show ring. He is currently in training and is doing very well.
