At Poplar Ridge Ranch, riding lessons are offered to all ages and experience levels; whether you are looking to refine your skills, problem solve, compete, or simply to handle a horse for the first time. You will not be pushed past your comfort level, but rather just enough to keep advancing. You will benefit from the relaxed atmosphere that surrounds each lesson.

Games, patterns and fun activities are incorporated to keep it interesting, stress free and most importantly fun. Games make it feel like your not learning at all! We spend time working in the arena, in the obstacle course and out and about on trails to give our students a well rounded experience when they take lessons with us.

Riding lessons are built to suit the needs of the individual. Your goals, past experiences, fears, strengths and character will be discussed and assessed, which will allow you to get the most out of your lessons.

Each person will learn in a step-by-step manner, both on the ground and in the saddle. Nervous/tense handlers will learn to become a confident and relaxed leader to the horse. Riders learn to gain a proper seat and balance, as well as proper rein control. Each person will learn about correct pressure and release, controlling emotions, tacking up, horse care and much, much more. The sky is the limit when it comes to gaining knowledge and experience in the horse industry.

Lessons are offered by Jaquelene See and Madison Elzinga. All levels and ages welcome, please contact us with any questions you may have.
